Hi! I have to talk to my family about a problem I have but I don’t know how to confront them about it and get them to take me seriously. Can you please help me? Thank you!
There is no guarantee on making sure that your family will take your problem seriously. My advice would be to bring someone with you that actually takes your problem seriously. That person could then comfort you if your family isn’t as understanding as you might wish.
When you are confronting them you might only want to talk with them one at a time or even write a letter. That way they can react in their own time and not react on impulses and you will also not have to see their initial reaction.
I wish you all the best,
